Our Mountain Renovations

it's no secret:

Most rentals are homes formerly lived in by their owners that have fallen into neglect and disrepair. They are old, tired, usually smell because of the old carpet and don’t exactly inspire their tenants.

That’s not ok with me and John.

Without sounding too serious (because if you know us, we are anything but), a space should have emotional energy. No two spaces should be identical and, unfortunately, most rentals are indistinguishable across the country. Even new builds uniformly look like a Home Depot show room.

Once again, John and I are not ok with that.

Most people come to Evergreen because they want to move to the mountains (as they should!). However, due to a lack of inventory, they end up renting whatever they can get, making serious concessions when it comes to not just quality, but style. We love Evergreen, and we want our rentals to reflect how special our community is. That’s why we are here to raise the bar when it comes to rental properties and the property management services we provide.

our renovations

Through strategic mountain renovations (some cosmetic, some major), John and I transform these old properties into rentals full of warmth and character. We have done it all: ceiling beams, picture frame molding, clawfoot tubs, brass light fixtures from Ireland, antique furniture from Italy and France, even hot tubs. I look at a rental and think: “What does it need that would make me want to live here?” I admit that our last property we completed, the Modern Swiss Cottage, turned out so cute I was tempted to live there and rent out our own home! It was probably the attention to detail we paid to the kitchen. The range has a beautiful zellige tile backsplash and oversized hood complete with alcoves for cooking spices and oils. The countertops are a black leathered granite that are so textured and beautiful. It is the dream kitchen to cook in and I imagine family and friends sitting around the oversized island while tenants cook amazing meals.

all in the details

We believe the proof is in the product: not only in the way a rental looks and feels, but the attention we pay to our tenants’ needs. Being local, we are just a quick phone call away and we have received so much feedback from tenants shocked that we respond to their requests not in several days, but IMMEDIATELY!

So there it is: our manifesto.

We want our properties to have a visceral effect when you walk inside. That’s what we’ve done, and that’s what we continue to do: giving Evergreen rentals quality and dimension. So…see you out there (and by “there,” I mean either skiing, hiking, or on one of our multiple Home Depot runs each day during renovations…)
